In 2005, a teenage saxophonist joined the band of an international worship ministry. That seat turned into two decades and counting — music direction, composition, arranging, education, ministry leadership, all of it.

The role never sat still. Saxophone in the band one week, keys or organ the next, writing and arranging the music in between, directing rehearsals, producing the recordings — whatever the service needed, across the whole bandstand: bass, drums, guitar, keys, piano, organ, saxophone, other wind instruments. Not learned from a classroom, but from being in the room every single week. That's what made it possible to arrange music for worship, write vocal and instrumental parts, lead rehearsals, and shape a whole service from the first downbeat to the last.

2015 was a turning point on two fronts: Daniel graduated college with a degree in Music Education, and that same year he was named Director of Worship Arts — not starting from scratch, but building on top of what his mother, Deondra Felton, had already poured years into founding. He took it well beyond a choir: overseeing the entire worship arts program, growing it into new ministries, and running the whole operation for eight years — the Youth Dance Ministry, Youth Praise Team, Youth Choir, Youth Orchestra, Music Institute, Adult Praise & Worship Team, Cathedral Choir, Instrumental Ensembles, and Special-Event & Conference Music Teams — recruiting, training, and mentoring every singer, instrumentalist, dancer, and volunteer inside those programs. That included directing the Cathedral Choir himself and writing original vocal arrangements and compositions like "God Wants a Yes" and "In All the Earth."

Moving to Dallas in June 2024 didn't close this chapter — it just changed its shape. Daniel still handles audio and visual production for the ministry today, mixing and producing remotely from Texas, the same way he did in the room for almost twenty years.

Behind the scenes on the technical side of worship — audio mixing, livestream, and recording production — so every arrangement translates cleanly from rehearsal to broadcast.

In June 2024, Daniel moved to Dallas to build independently full-time — gigging every week, raising a family, and choosing every day to grow into everything this space is asking of him. Two decades of composing, arranging, performing, teaching, and directing came with him, not behind him.

That growth turned into a mission in 2026 when he founded I See You Family Media Group. He hosts and produces After Rehearsal: Behind the Music, the flagship podcast that sits down with musicians and creatives beyond the performance. He writes and curates for Cut Times, the music education journal. And he leads I See You Family: The Collective, a growing community connecting working musicians to each other. It's community first — conversations over content, creators supporting creators.

Daniel's still a regular gigging musician across the Dallas metroplex — leading music at churches, playing weddings, taking the stage at local venues and festivals. Whatever's on the record, you're going to hear it live, week after week.
